We’ve been waiting for this grand launch for a while and now we are thrilled to announce that our V3 is fresh and ready on the Arbitrum mainnet!!
Fully powered by our revolutionary AMM — protocol V3 is fully permissionless with several pain-killer features:
Having been tested on Arbitrum’s testnet for more than five months, the AMM has been working as expected. Right…
This podcast is hosted by Bobby Ong from CoinGecko with the co-founder Jean Miao. The podcast highlights some major aspects like the difference between products V2 & V3, trading fees, APY, leverage on perpetual trade, how liquidation works on MCDEX, the reason to choose Arbitrum, the difference between competitors, and upcoming plans.
The session started with the introduction of Jean Miao and the story behind joining the defi space. She provided the insights and discussed each question extensively asked by Bobby during the session. Let’s get to the questions and answers.
Q: Can you briefly introduce MCDEX?
A: MCDEX is…
On the Discord community’s chat, the founder had discussions with the members and answered questions related to margin accounts in the perpetual swap and how the DAO protocol can meet various regulation requests. As the MCDEX protocol brings permissionless features, anyone can create any perpetual swaps at different risk levels. Thus isolated margin can mitigate the risk level as each trader owns an independent margin account, and PNL won’t affect other margin accounts.

2. Distributed the Rewards of Two Campaign “Recommend & Retweet” MCDEX to Friends
MCDEX will launch an Incubator Program to involve and incentivize the community to work on some projects that can be built on the MCDEX platform. In the long run, this will also help to expand the MCDEX product line and boost trading volumes. Our team will mentor and guide the users on product-market fit, investments and allow the team to tap on the vast experience of MCDEX.
The project has to be built on the MCDEX Mai3 protocol. The developers need to use Mai3 protocol as a common underlying infrastructure or interact with Mai3 protocol.

Key takeaways — An update on when the new product will launch?
Since February, the team has been waiting for the Arbitrum to be prepared. We still believe it worth waiting instead of launching on another chain mainly because of the three following reasons:
👉 The instant confirmation — provided by Arbitrium, is a unique advantage that no other solutions can provide. …
So, in the end, we set a few requirements: 1) it must be composable, 2) EVM compatibility and can be deployed quickly. The logic here is that if it is EVM compatible, it would accelerate the deployment process where other products can also deploy quickly. This will accelerate the growth of the entire ecosystem tremendously.
Lastly, we hope that this plan is feasible and can be ready in a short time. After much evaluation, we decided the Arbitrum is the L2 solution that fits our criteria. During the time of evaluation, we also looked at optimism, but we felt…
M: These are really helpful and interesting points. Taking a look at the DeFi space, we found out that a lot of projects, including those deployed to L2, are working to solve the liquidity issue. All of them finally came to the same solution, which is to improve capital efficiency. For example, Uniswap V3 aims to concentrate the liquidity within a custom price range
I have a question regarding the second point on permissionless. If I am a liquidity provider and I have created a liquidity pool, will there be a scenario whereby someone wants to trade against my pool…
M: Actually, I really want to talk about what you learned during the evolution from v2 to v3, and let us briefly talk about some key features of V2 and V3 and what changes have been made.
L： This is a very good question. What we learned from v2 is that liquidity is the first principle of financial products, which means we should focus on how to improve liquidity, including high capital efficiency, which leads to low slippage for traders, and lower cost to provide liquidity.
How did we discover this? V2 is a hybrid model with both order book…
M：Today, I have invited Liu Jie, the founder of MCDEX, to be the guest on 51% podcast. Before we start, Liu Jie will give the audience a self-introduction.
L: Hi, I am Liu Jie, the founder of MCDEX. I used to be a developer at Baidu. At Baidu, I developed a distributed system and created a distributed database called Doris. This project is open-source and is widely used. In addition, I also developed a mining software called Minerbabe, a management tool for GPU mining. …
